Flat Tire....Good Thing or Bad Thing

The tire on our car has been loosing a minor amount of air over the past weeks.  I blamed it on the humidity.  (This time of year....you can blame anything and everything on the humidity -- or for those who read the Courier...tree frogs).

This morning....it was worse than before.  Time to get the tire fixed.  Even my quick examination; I found the nail.  This time I had enough "smarts" not to pull the nail out.  That is a story for another time.

Got the car to the garage.  They fixed the tire (even threw in a free car wash).

The result?  One large nail...a screw....and a leaking stem.

Now....is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Perspective is amazing isn't it.  I am trying to be more sensitive that what may appear to us to be a big, bad, hardluck event....could be an opportunity to recognize God's activity.  Couldn't it be that God, even in the difficulties of life, is also about good and hope?

The Bible says something to the effect:  In all things, God works (with us) for the good.

Have to be on the road tomorrow and then again over the weekend.  Thanks God for helping me to have a flat tire....better here and now, than later and in a place not so abundant with resources.
